On the weekend we went to visit our friends Mike and Michelle at their finca in the country, an hour away from our place in Marbella. We all had a wonderful time, especially Willow, who got to befriend a cat called Kink and meet 2 German Shepherds called Nico and Sasha. She laughed and laughed when she saw them and was shaking with excitement when with the cat.

We went to Ikea and bought some cute kit to deck out Willow's bedroom. It looks great and she loves it. There are things hanging and the curtains look like under the sea. She doesn't know where to look.

Willow is a very funny little girl. She has a sense of humour already and makes me laugh out loud! She is on the verge of crawling, but prefers to stand and walk with hands held. She is good at playing on her own and I often find her lying under a table or her cot, talking to herself, or chewing the legs. She also loves watching BabyTV on SKY. She particularly loves Harry the Bunny and often shrieks while watching. I think it's quite stimulating at this age....

I think we have turned a corner with the eating situation. She will eat nearly anything now, if she likes it! It's still a battle to get a few mouthfuls of cereal in each morning but she loves to eat anything that she can hold herself. And she loves baby yoghurts.... and broccoli.... not together...

And already she loves shopping!

And chocolate! Naughty daddy, but at least it was Lindt!..

We were witnesses at our friends' Jo and Jayne's wedding in Gibraltar recently.

We had a fab time in Sydney. Stayed in Darlinghurst. Wined and dined in some great local restaurants. Spent a day on Bondi: not easy taking a baby to the beach! Caught up with my lovely friend Vanessa who was looking stunning. Hopefully she and Dr John will get in the baby way themselves soon...

Well, welcome back! Hope you like my new look. New Year, new you and all that. I have to apologise for my lack of blogging but I will explain why... My computer is set up in the basement and we have had (still having) problems with leaking water through the walls. The result is that it has been a bombsite down there, complete with cockroach nest and rats! So I have not wanted to go in there! I finally could wait no longer so asked big brave hubby to retrieve the computer for me and I set it up in the lounge. So I'm back!

We had a fantastic trip to Australia, although it disappeared all too quickly. My parents hosted us beautifully in their new house in Templestowe. What a great job they have done on it; so comfortable, stylish and well set up. There is a kindergarten in the back yard! No wonder the grandchildren don't want to leave when they visit!

Christmas passed in the blink of an eye and then we were down at Sorrento. We really enjoyed ourselves: the weather was hot and sunny, we were staying in the gorgeous guest house next door to Phil and Liz's beach house and we had our family all around us. It was a typical Australian family beach holiday, but again it went by too fast! Are you sensing a theme here!

And Tanc got to go fishing! He had a great day out and we got dinner!

On the way back to Melbourne we stopped off at T'Gallant Winery. Sweltering sun and buzzing cafe. Purchased some Pinot Grigio and Juliet rose for our anniversary.

Tim's birthday BBQ... Hawaiian shirts compulsory?

Maddie showing us all how to accessorise. She was rarely seen without her jewels and a handbag.

I had a chance to catch up with my great friends. We met up with Sal, Simon, Ruby and Ella at Geelong beach which was fun. Her gorgeous girls are all grown up but Sal and Simon haven't changed a bit!

We also caught up with Renee, Marcella, Spencer and Mackie down at their new house near Seaford. Renee has a handful with her boys but they are cuties that's for sure! I don't know how she is still managing to write her music, record an album and do hair and makeup for weddings while looking after the boys!!! Supermum or what!

We took a trip up to Hamilton Island but unfortunately, aside from the first 2 days we were rained out. It was a monsoon in fact! Never again at that time of year....

It is to be recorded that today, 9th December 2007, Willow first said Dada. Sounded more like gaga to me but daddy is convinced so we will let him have this pleasure. She is certainly making some unusual noises. When she is happy and excited she crows at the top of her voice. And when she wakes in the mornings she lies chatting to herself and chuckling which is really cute. She's not teething yet but it can't be long as she is always sucking either her toes, her thumb or anything she can get her hands on, and her clothes are constantly soaked with dribble.

I've discovered that unless I dress Willow in pink, when we are out she gets 'que guapo' all the time which means what a lovely boy. I believe my mother had the same problem with me. Don't know if i will resort to sticking a bow on her head as was done to me...
